How To Maintain Genuine Leather Strap?

Most of the EXTRI brand watches are leather straps. As you know, the leather band in the summer can easily cause deformation aging because of the sweat . Besides, the price of leather strap is expensive, It's not actual to change the strap often. So the best solution is to maintain and prolong lifetime.

How to maintain leather strap? EXTRI brand give some suggestions as follows:

1, avoid long-term direct sunlight when wearing.

High humidity air can cause leather strap to deformation and discoloration of strap. Insolation can cause color fades, usually leather straps are dyed, so avoid direct sunlight.

2, Change the strap according to seasons to prevent the strap sclerosis.

Leather strap worn a long time will cause the damage of the material itself because the various factors. Sclerosis is one of the common phenomena. what need to remind is that the humid environment will accelerate the sclerosis and sweat will corrode the strap. Take off the watch when taking exercise, don't wear the strap too tight, can reduce corrosion of sweat in the summer and prolong lifetime of the belt. Don't Fold the strap when sclerotic. if necessary, replace the strap timely.

3, Avoid getting damp in the daily life. 

Getting damp is a common cause of reduction of life time, avoid strap getting wet in the daily life. If wet ,should wipe with a dry cloth immediately. but do not use the dryer or direct sunlight. when wash water , it is best to remove the watch.

4 ,Clean the strap regularly to prevent the smell of the strap. 

Any straps all have the smell when worn long time. The most sensible approach is to Clean the strap regularly and keep the strap dry. But If strap have smell, you can use a soft brush stick with a little soapy water to scrub quickly (to avoid soapy water penetrate the cortex, the whole process must be finished within 20 seconds), and then use a damp soft cloth to wipe clean. when the strap become dry, coated oil over the strap.

If strenuous exercise or swimming outdoors, please replace EXTRI silicone strap. Prevent excessive sweating and seawater immersion damage leather strap.

How to maintain EXTRI brand quartz watch

Matters needing to be noted about EXTRI brand quartz watches:

① Avoid the  strong impact:
Although Extri watch is shockproof, you  should avoid the sudden impact , so when you do exercise, it is best to remove the watch.

② Do not close to  magnetic items:
Watch parts are metal products, although it has the anti-magnetic device,  it's easy to make the time not correct when it is close to the magnetic objects.  It should  be away from radios, televisions and other electrical goods.

③ Do not close to solvent:
Mercury, cosmetic sprays, detergents, adhesive or paint, otherwise the case, strap, etc. become discolored, deteriorated or damaged.

④ Be away from camphor :
Camphor can decompose of oil , easily decompose grease of the watch parts, making the fault.

⑤ Do not often open the watch back:
Avoiding moisture and dust in the air into the watch parts , result in the fault.

⑥ Be away from water and steam:
Although Extri watch have the waterproof device, waterproof accessories may still slack over time, leading to mechanical wet and rust,
 so when washing and bathing,you need to take off the watch.

⑦ Method of collecting watch:
Don't put the watch in  your pocket or purse lest small cloth crumbs, dust into the watch, or perfume, cosmetics can  cause the oxidation
 of the watch parts. when not worn for long periods,it should be kept in a cool and dry box.

⑧ Take off the watch at  bedtime:
Linen and cotton fibers , the temperature difference of  inner and outside , are easy to cause the damage of watch.

⑨ Avoid rapid temperature changes:
Because  the watch case is made of a variety of different materials, the rapid temperature change is likely to affect  the cooperation of all watch parts as well as the water resistance of the watch.
